The 1st XI took home a 25 run victory courtesy of Asad Afridi 70 off 48 deliveries and help from Martin Sykes 35 off 34 to help Shelley to score passing 200 comfortably. However, Denby started strong putting on a nice partnership between the number 3 and 4 which looked like was going to get extremely close to Shelley’s high total until captain Jake Holling took a big wicket forcing the Denby chase to stand still with their lower order failing to contribute to the chase. A great win for Shelley making them leapfrog Denby!

Tim Jones 2nd XI we’re also victorious at locals Shepley as they took a 4 wicket win thanks to man of the match and former Shepley man Daniel Steers who took five wickets and also knocked off the winning runs being unbeaten on 31 off 33 deliveries. Well done to Daniel and let’s hope his excellent run of form continues!
